IVONNE COLL JOINS THE CAST OF GLEE & SWITCHED AT BIRTH

Coll has shared the big screen with Al Pacino, Nicole Kidman, Clive Owens, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Morgan Freeman, Dennis Hopper, Andy Garcia and Cuba Gooding Jr.

Ivonne Coll has joined the cast of Glee and ABC Family’s Switched at Birth, two of the highest rated shows on television. Her film debut as the “redheaded Yolanda” in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather II made her an international star and one of the first Puerto Rican actresses to cross over from the Latin world to Hollywood.

“I am delighted to work in such quality shows. The acting and writing are excellent” said Ivonne Coll on the set of Switched at Birth.

Coll’s award-winning weekly variety show UNA CHICA LLAMADA IVONNE COLL was created for her by radio and TV broadcasting pioneer Rafael Perez Perry owner of the Teleonce Network in Puerto Rico. After representing her country in the Miss Universe Pageant, the show provided the perfect opportunity to showcase her many talents which included singing, dancing and acting, with looks evocative of the legendary Rita Hayworth. She trained in drama with Lee Strassberg, comedy with Lucille Ball and music theater with David Craig. On Broadway she starred on the Tony nominated Chronicle of a Death Foretold and played the role of Lady Macbeth in Shakespeare’s Macbeth under Estelle Parsons direction. She marked her Broadway debut performing alongside Kathy Bates and Jane Alexander in Goodbye Fidel.
