Beautycon Festival was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on July 9, 2016.  The one day event started at noon and ended at 7:00 p.m. They had over 80 brands and over 100 content creators. This was my first year attending and I was in beauty heaven. Since this was my first year attending I didn’t know what to expect, but quickly figured it out. Here is my journey through Beautycon Los Angeles.

On arrival I had to provide my printed ticket so I could receive a wrist band. TIP – Make sure to grab a map to help guide you through the isles. One thing I didn’t know was with my paid general admission, not only did it grant me access inside beautycon, but I also received a lot of free products. Many booths like Loreal, NYX Cosmetics, QVC, Garnier and Redken were giving out free products and all you had to do was follow them and post your pictures/selfies to Instagram. Other booths like Tarte, Real Techniques, Luxie and Velvet 59 were selling products at discounted prices. Any booth you went to had amazing goodies. Of course with so many free goodies there was a line to go with it. I waited at the NYX Cosmetics booth for a hour, but of course it was well worth the wait.

TIP – Next year I will locate my favorite brands and make sure to hit those first, then work my way around the exhibit floor. There were many opportunities to meet some of my favorite beauty and fashion bloggers, YouTube stars and others that produce online tutorials. It was 7 hours of beauty heaven that left me wanting more. For now I will enjoy my treats and I will be ready for next year!

Beautycon is headed to New York on October 1, 2016 you can get your tickets at www.beautycon.com. To get your beautycon fix throughout the year they also offer a Beautycon box subscription. It is a  seasonal beauty and lifestyle subscription box curated by the most in demand influencers.

Stay tuned, I will post thoughts on brushes and others goodies I gathered at Beautycon.
