Executive of Influence | Ingrid Otero-Smart

Hispanic Lifestyle is proud to recognize the achievements of Ingrid Otero-Smart President/CEO of Casanova Pendrill as an Executive of Influence.

Ingrid Otero-Smart is the President/CEO of Casanova Pendrill. Ingrid started her career at McCann Erickson in her native Puerto Rico, then moved to the U.S. to work on the Hispanic market for the past 20 years. She joined Casanova after three years as president of Anita Santiago Advertising.

Previously, Ingrid was with Mendoza Dillon & Asociados, rising to president and COO. Client experience includes automotive, packaged goods, travel, pharmaceuticals, financial services, retail and technology categories, having worked with companies such as Ford Motor Co, MillerCoors, Cingular Wireless, Sears, Nestlé, Hilton Hotels, Kraft Foods, IKEA, Wells Fargo Bank, Disneyland, Compass Bank, GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer and McNeil Consumer Products, among others.

She has extensive experience in cause marketing having worked with UNICEF Tap Project, as well as several others through her involvement with the Ad Council.

Ingrid is a member of the board of directors of the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies (AHAA) and a past President of that organization.  She has twice been named one of Hispanic Business Magazine’s Top 100 Most Influential Hispanics and was named 2009 Hispanic Ad Executive of the Year, named 2012 Marketing Person of the Year by OC Business Journal, and recipient of 2013 Hispanic Achievement Award. Ingrid has a bachelor’s from the School of Public Communications, University of Puerto Rico where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
