When immigrants achieve the American Dream it is noteworthy. When they achieve it by putting family first it is remarkable. Hispanic Lifestyle featured the 75 year old company in episode HLTV #160. If you don’t know the story, Goya Foods grew from a small storefront in 1936, to an international conglomerate today. The iconic immigrant family has been at the forefront of satisfying America’s desire for new flavors, while steadfastly providing Latino immigrants the tastes of home. Countless Hispanic immigrants preserve and share their culinary traditions with many others today and have over the past seven decades because of Goya. This legacy of authenticity, culture and family has made for the realization of an exceptionally tasty slice of the American Dream.

2 cans (15.5 oz. each) Black Beans, drained and rinsed
1 jar (17.6 oz.) Salsa Pico de Gallo
1 can (15.25 oz.) Whole Kernel Corn, drained
3 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3 tbsp. chopped Green Pickled Jalapeno Nacho Slices (optional)
1 tbsp. Chili Powder
2 tsp. Cumin
2 tsp. Minced Garlic or 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1. In large bowl, combine all ingredients. Using large spoon, gently mix to combine. Serve with tortilla chips. Or, cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to eat.
