She’s covered a wide range of stories, including the tragic deaths of 19 Arizona fire fighters, the infamous Jodi Arias murder trial and Georgia’s deadly tornadoes in 2011.
The California native graduated in 2005 with a degree in psychology from UC Irvine. With an interest for travel, since her graduation, she’s traveled throughout the world including Australia, Thailand, Korea, Mexico, Spain, Amsterdam, France, Switzerland, and Costa Rica.

Crystal_Cruz2The avid country music fan enjoyed living in the South and visiting Nashville, but SoCal is where Cruz has always wanted to call home. When she’s not reporting, Cruz is digging through antique stores for vintage cameras. You can also catch her at the beach or on a golf course on her time off.
In addition to rescuing animals, Cruz’s volunteer service includes mentoring young students and working for the advancement of women in the workplace.
