This year, the festival continues to feature activities for everyone, including an art exhibit inside the SkyRose Chapel showcasing the talents of various local renowned local artists who will be sharing some of their Día de los Muertosinspired artwork.   There will be a dedicated arts & crafts area for children with mini workshops and interactive activities; a food court with delicious items from various vendors; a vendor area featuring Día de los Muertos themed arts and crafts; a full program of performances and entertainment including Paso de Oro’s Aztec dance group that will lead a ceremonial procession, and local dancers from Tierra Blanca Dance Company, Mariachi Trompetas de Mexico, and a special closing performance by the band Cambalache.   In addition, families are invited to create their own altars and enter the community altar contest.  Altars are an integral part of the celebration.
