Hispanic Lifestyle is pleased to recognize Cristina Garcia, Alliances Marketing Operations at SugarCRM, Latina Coalition Silicon Valley as a 2016 Latina of Influence. Cristina Garcia is an independent and dedicated individual working towards her goal of getting to the executive level. She currently works in Marketing Operations for Alliances at SugarCRM in Cupertino, CA. There, she works to improve SugarCRM’s partnership with Strategic Alliances, such as IBM, and increases brand visibility through SugarCRM events. Along with working at SugarCRM, she also works at Latina Coalition Silicon Valley (LCSV), an organization that strives to develop a pipeline of Latina leaders in the areas of civic engagement, professional development and community engagement. Throughout her time at LCSV, she has grown from intern to managing all of marketing, coordinating events, assisting with membership and playing a key role in Latina Coalition’s growth. Previous to SugarCRM and Latina Coalition Silicon Valley, she worked in Channel and Partner Marketing for Latin America at Plantronics, a fortune 500 tech company headquartered in Santa Cruz.

Cristina is a 2015 Asian Pacific American Leadership (APALI) Civic Leadership Program fellow and a 2015 Latino Board Leadership Academy (LBLA) fellow through the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley. She serves on the board of Latinas Contra Cancer and Teatro Vision, organizations that cater to lifting the Latino community. She is also on the American Heart Association’s Multicultural Leadership Committee for Silicon Valley as well as a member of the Latina Coalition Toastmasters Club. She is a new member of Be Visible, a social platform for Latinas to share their insights and provide leadership engagement.

Cristina’s passion is helping Latinas thrive in their communities and serve as inspiration to others. She works to serve as a mentor to other Latinas and help people find their passion. More than anything, she hopes to serve as a resource and mentor to aspiring leaders because with hard work, dedication and passion, she believes everyone can work to achieve their dreams. She is deeply humanitarian with an unshakable vision and drive to make the world a better place.
