ABOUT THE HONOREE
As a seasoned executive professional with more than 25 years experience in management, Delgado is known for her ardent pursuit of brand growth and maximizing operational excellence while often exceeding financial performance. Prior to her current role, she served as Vice President of Sales, leading both marketing and sales teams well into over 500 retail stores and restaurants with product distribution and direct customer sales. Moreover, she acquired leading retail clients such as Walmart, Smart and Final, Big Saver Foods, and SYSCO.
Delgado was born in Leon, Guanajuato to a mother who four years later made the difficult decision to leave her sister and her in the care of a local Catholic boarding school while pursuing an opportunity to better their lives in the United States. Leaning on each other for support, the sisters navigated life’s early challenges and developed a keen ability to persevere. Delgado credits this experience with her drive to overcome the hardest of obstacles.
After reuniting with her mother, Delgado continued to evolve and sharpen her skills through various jobs that in turn would also help the family. Sales became an innate skill that led her to work in Downtown Los Angeles’ Fashion District. Not long after graduating from High School, she got married and began forming a family and embarked on a path into the medical industry. During this time, her husband suffered a major accident that immediately saw her take on the role of head of household and full-time work. While balancing two jobs to support her family, she knew she needed to take a leap into a higher paying job. She was soon hired by a world renowned Orthopedic Surgeon and gained his support to further her career. She was given the responsibility of managing the entire clinic, a position she held for over 26 years until the physician retired.
Her years of experience in management and sales prepared her for a complete transition into the food industry. She entered as an executive assistant and shortly after was placed and excelled in various management positions. Two years later, she was appointed Vice President of Sales and to her current position as Vice President of Operations.
Under her leadership, she ensures that Mr. Tortilla has a footprint in community outreach. She oversees their successful partnership with New Horizon, pledging to train and employ adults with special needs. Additionally, she enlisted Chica’s Mom, a foundation helping women empowerment and Children’s Hunger Fund, whose efforts focus on feeding children living in poverty.
When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Her passion for sports has always been in her blood and whenever she has the opportunity you can find her playing soccer.
She is an amazing leader who has inspired countless team members and helped them grow professionally
