2018 Latina of Influence | Olga Camargo, AIF®

Hispanic Lifestyle is pleased to recognize Business and community leader Olga Camargo, AIF® as a 2018 Latina of Influence. Ms. Camargo along with our entire list of 2018 Latinas of Influence are invited to participate in Hispanic Lifestyle’s 2018 Latina Conference taking place April 4 and 5, 2018 in Ontario, California.

Olga is Managing Partner at TOROSO Investments, LLC, a registered investment advisor firm. Olga provides investment advisory and retirement plan advisory services to clients that include: high net worth individuals, business owners, public and private corporations, public sector entities, and not-for-profit entities and foundations. Olga holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) professional designation from Fiduciary 360, and is able to effectively implement a prudent investment process for all of her clients.

Olga has 18 years of financial services experience. Prior to joining TOROSO Investments, she was a Senior Vice President at Mesirow Financial co-leading an investment advisory practice where she provided culturally-relevant financial services. Before that, Olga was at JPMorgan Chase and Thomson Reuters.

Olga has received national recognition for her professional work as a retirement plan advisor as related to helping minority communities/workforce become retirement ready. She serves as an advocate for these communities and guides plan vendors to better serve them.

Olga is frequently called upon by some of the fastest growing businesses and policymakers to provide her unique perspective. Mayor Emanuel appointed Olga as a Commissioner of the Board of The Public Building Commission. She recently served on the Metropolitan Pier & Exposition Authority Board.

She is National Board Chair of the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement; a Board Member of the Little Village Chamber of Commerce; serves on the IL State Treasurer’s Hispanic Advisory Council; The Metropolitan Planning Council Board of Governors; a board member of The Rotary Club of Chicago; and, a member of New America Alliance’s

American Latina Leadership Caucus (100 influential Latinas across sectors in the U.S.).

She also served on The Chicago Plan Commission; as Treasurer for the Chicago Cook Partnership Workforce Investment Board, and as Vice Chair for Instituto Del Progreso Latino.

I wanted to nominate Olga Camargo from Toroso Investments & Faro Associates because she has over the years created a history of support & investment into Latinos & Latinas everywhere, her vision & mission to help our community grow & have prosperity in their lives & families makes me so proud to know someone like her. She has the most incredible respect from other leaders throughout the business community & in government that also see her immense impact & presence as a perfect role model of a business woman, & who has proven successes. I have been blessed to learn so much from her over the years & persevered through life’s challenges.I have seen her grow over the years in her career & how she inspires Latinas in believing & having the resources to become whomever they want to be in the business world. She moves them to be proud to also to use their voice in an impactful way that leaves a presence of the importance of a Latina business woman in our nation. Imagine if what our country would like to have some of these women be the leaders that lead out our country & community out of the current challenges & problems that are occurring & are unnecessary for people to retire with dignity & have a legacy for their families.
