2019 Latina of Influence Veronica Torres | Director Experiences VisitDallas and Founder, Hey Chica! Latina Leadership Summit

Hispanic Lifestyle is pleased to recognize Veronica Torres Director of Partner Experiences VisitDallas and Hey Chica! Latina Leadership Summit as a 2019 Latina of Influence. Ms. Torres along with our entire list of 2019 Latinas of Influence are invited to participate in Latina Conference 2019 taking place April 10 and 11, 2019 in Ontario, California.

Veronica Torres currently works for VisitDallas as the Director of Partner Experiences. In this role Ms. Torres is charged overseeing the Partnership Program in the newly created Experience Department. Her role includes developing strategies and campaigns that connect Dallas to the overall VisitDallas mission and goals. She designs unique and relevant experiences for organizations, partners, and stakeholders to assist with collaboration in community in Dallas. Prior to her new role, Ms. Torres worked as the Director of Diversity Marketing and community relations focusing on diverse conventions and events and developing partnerships in the local Dallas community. 

Veronica is originally from Austin, Texas, a graduate of Johnson and Wales University with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.  Veronica currently serves on the Growth South Advisory Council and has served as the past President of the Hispanic 100 board of Directors.
She is also a member of the following Associations: Hispanic 100, co founder of the Young Latino Executives, Mayor Star Council Advisory Board, Hispanic Women’s Network of North Texas, North Texas Food Bank Capital Campaign Committee, Latino Center for Leadership Development Fellow and past Co-Chair of the Girls Inc. Champion for Girls Program.

Past Board participation includes: Mayor Star Council Advisory Board, Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber, North Texas GLBT Chamber, Dress for Success, YP214, Lee Park and Arlington Hall Conservancy and the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association.

Veronica is very passionate and considers herself an advocate for health and wellness programming along with young professional leadership and entrepreneurship. She received her Yoga Teaching Certification from the APY institute in Dallas. Veronica and her husband built a Fit Couple brand while advocating for Latinos and African Americans in the world of healthy lifestyle and exercise. Their five-year goals include operating fitness/ yoga facilities and public advocacy as a Fit Couple. She is truly a connector and Young Executive advisor. 

Veronica and her husband opened their V12 Yoga Studio in July of 2014 in the heart of the Dallas Farmers Market.

In 2018 Veronica created a movement with her Hey Chica! Latina Leadership Summit. The sold out its first event with over 300 women in attendance. The Movement has grown to weekly networkers that give Latina Scholarships and has built a brand with a Latina Wellness conference taking place in 2019 in Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. Hey Chica was recently honored by ADweek for a Rising Star Brand award in Dallas, Texas.
