Celebrating their recent 11th GRAMMY nomination, Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea’s groundbreaking 15th Album 20 Aniversario marks a distinguished career spanning 20 years. Nominated in the Best Regional Mexican Music Album (including Tejano) category this album features mariachi classics along with original compositions such as “Así es una mujer” composed by Edgar Cortazar & Cindy Shea which has won the Global Music Award and Hollywood Music in Media Award in their Latin (Traditional) category for best song. 20 Aniversario (20th anniversary) is the first album to be recorded in Cindy Shea’s new recording studio, 7th Ave. Studios, representing a monumental achievement for Shea and Mariachi Divas. Already a two-time GRAMMY Award winning ensemble, with eight GRAMMY nominations and three Latin GRAMMY nominations, Mariachi Divas is one of the most significant and successful all-female mariachi group in the business. Mariachi Divas specializes in providing professional mariachi music for commercials, television, and film recordings, as well as, performing daily at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts in Anaheim, California as the official mariachi of Disney California.

Founded in 1999, by musical director and trumpet player Cindy Shea, Mariachi Divas is known for its innovative and eclectic array of music ranging from mariachi classics to jazz and pop. Their music can be characterized as sophisticated, smooth, and refined providing an elegant approach to the mariachi tradition and part of the successful sound in which Mariachi Divas excels. Due to the wide accessibility of Mariachi Divas and their vast fan base, since 2003, Mariachi Divas is the official premier all-female mariachi of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, performing year-round at Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney, Anaheim, California. Due to their popularity, the group is the official all-female mariachi for Disney Pixar’s Coco inspired show at Plaza de La Familia/Día de Los Muertos celebration at Disneyland, Anaheim, California. Recognized as the leading female mariachi ensemble, Mariachi Divas is often sought after to appear in various television, film, and music video projects.

Over the years, they have performed, recorded, and collaborated with artists such as, Alejandro Fernández, “Agridulce” on album Rompiendo Fronteras (2017), Ozomatli, single “Volver, Volver” (2017), Natalia Jiménez of La 5ª Estación and Sergio Vallín of Maná , single “Esa Soy Yo” (2009) to name a few. Additionally, Mariachi Divas has appeared in two music videos with major recording artists: Oh No’s “Suavemente” (2019) and U2’s “Song for Someone” (2016). Mariachi Divas has also accompanied some of the biggest Latin stars of Mexico and the United States that includes: Adrian Allende (Mexican Dynasties Bravo TV Show), Big and Rich Cowboy Troy, Banda Adictiva, Beatriz Adriana, Pepe Aguilar, Graciela Beltrán y Jimena, Paquita la del Barrio, Aida Cuevas, Celia Cruz, Shaila Dúrcal, Alejandro Fernández, Vicente Fernández Jr., Lupita Infante, Angel Lopez (Son by Four), Israel “Cachao” Lopez, Luis Miguel, Emilio Navaira, Ozomatli, Ezequiel Peña, Guadalupe Pineda, Yolanda del Río, Jenni Rivera, Alejandro Sanz, Joan Sebastian, and Marco Antonio Solis.
