MaaPaa is a nonprofit organization based in Dallas, Texas, dedicated to empowering single mothers as they raise sons to become emotionally strong, mentally healthy, and purpose-driven men. Founded by Nelly Cuenca, a social worker and community advocate, MaaPaa creates safe, supportive spaces where mothers and sons can thrive together. Through culturally relevant programs focused on mental health, mentorship, education, and enrichment, MaaPaa equips families with tools and resources to break cycles of poverty, trauma, and isolation. From speaker series and Mental Health First Aid Trainings, to book drives and back-to-school events, MaaPaa is building a village that uplifts, educates, and inspires.
