Patricia “Paty” Higuera is corporate attorney that practices in the Los Angeles offices of the international law firm of DLA Piper LLP. For the last 8 years, Paty has been a member of the firm’s Real Estate transactional group, through which she represents Fortune 500 companies in sophisticated real estate and other corporate transactions. Before becoming a lawyer with the firm, Paty served as a case assistant for the firm’s Real Estate and Bankruptcy Groups.

Patricia Higuera is a graduate of Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. She earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. Among the her many accolades, Paty has received DLA Piper’s “Phenomenal Woman’s Award.” She also was awarded the “Alumna of the Year” by the Southwest Law School Latino Law Students Association. Paty was also featured in a CNN/Money Magazine story on law school success. Her community affiliates include the Mexican American Bar Association, Advisory Board Member of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, and Trustee & Scholarship Committee Chair for the Mexican American Bar Foundation.

Patricia Higuera Stout handles a variety of commercial real estate transactions including purchase and sale of shopping centers, office buildings, commercial and industrial properties, apartment buildings and vacant land. Her practice includes analysis of real estate documents dealing with reciprocal easement agreements, title and survey matters and leasing. She represents lenders, borrowers, buyers, sellers and other users of real property.

Civic and Charitable

  • Recognized by DLA Piper for her contributions to the Los Angeles office pro bono program for dedicating more than 100 hours of pro bono assistance in closing a complex and sophisticated real estate loan transaction for the Low Income Investment Fund, an organization dedicated to creating a bridge between private capital markets and low-income neighborhoods
  • Recognized by Southwestern Law School as Alumna of the Year for her dedication and service to the Latino community
  • Founded and created one of the most successful toy drives in Los Angeles – the Hoover Elementary Toy Drive, which has resulted in thousands of toys being handed out to underserved children in the Los Angeles Unified School District
  • Former Barrister Liaison for the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Real Property Law
  • Worked for nonprofit Pasadena Heritage, a historic preservation group in Pasadena, California
