People | Evelin Martinez Named Inland Empire Area President

EvelinMartinez1Evelin Martinez, a 22-year banking industry veteran, has been named the new Inland Empire Area President.  Martinez most recently served as district manager for Wells Fargo’s North Valley market within the LA Metro community bank. Prior to managing the North Valley district, Martinez served as district manager for West Valley Hills, Foothill Heights, North Hills, and West Los Angeles/Marina markets.

Martinez began her banking career in 1992 as a teller in San Francisco. Throughout her career, Martinez has worked in a number of retail banking positions including personal banker, assistant manager, store manager, and sales development consultant. She also has extensive wealth management experience, and holds securities licenses (Series 7 & 24), obtained during her five years at Citibank prior to joining Wells Fargo.

“Evelin’s dedication and talent for helping our customers, community, and team members succeed financially is remarkable,” said Greater Los Angeles region president, David DiCristofaro. “In addition to running her business with the utmost commitment to integrity, Evelin has taken on a number of projects that exemplify our regional culture of caring. Most notably, she actively supports several organizations serving the community, such as Meet Each Need with Dignity (MEND), YMCA, HOPE, and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. Additionally, with half of the residents in the Inland Empire identifying as Latino, Evelin will certainly bring a wonderful understanding of the community to her expanded role.”

Wells Fargo’s Inland Empire community bank area overseen by Evelin is comprised of approximately 890 team members and 49 stores. Martinez graduated from Holy Names College in Oakland, Calif., with a Bachelor’s degree in human resources management.
