Elena Roman is a 2015 Latina of Influence named by Hispanic Lifestyle. Elena is being recognized for her passion to educated families, communities and women the importance to address signs of Cancer and to remain positive during the treatment process. Hispanic Lifestyle’s 2015 Latinas of Influence will be recognizing Elena and her fellow Latinas of Influence during a luncheon held in their honor on at Latina Conference 2015.
Elena joined ICMC from Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) where she was the Chief Operating Officer of CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center for three and a half years. Prior to that, Elena was Vice President of Oncology Patient Services at Midwestern Regional Medical Center for 4 years. Elena has more than 32 years of healthcare industry experience, including leadership roles in the areas of management, operations, business development, hospital administration, marketing and insurance contracting. Prior to joining CTCA, Elena served as the Chief Executive Officer of HealthSouth Southern Arizona Rehabilitation Center as well as Administrator of Lakeview NeuroRehabilitation Center.
Elena Roman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music and Science in Music Therapy with a double major in psychology from Eastern New Mexico University, and a MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX.
