2017 Latina of Influence | Lina Montes

Hispanic Lifestyle is pleased to recognize business owner and community advocate Lina Montes as a 2017 Latina of Influence. Ms. Montes along with our entire list of 2017 Latinas of Influence are invited to participate in Hispanic Lifestyle’s 2017 Latina Conference taking place April 5 – 6, 2017 in Ontario, California.

Lina Montes was raised in Fontana, Ca along with her two younger sisters, she is married to Edgar Montes and has 15 year old twins Abel and Angel and a four year old son named Quetzal. She is the daughter of immigrant parents (Guadalupe Ojeda and Esther Ojeda), who came to the United States to achieve the American dream.

Lina Montes Graduated from Fontana High school, went to Mt. San Antonio College and transferred to the University Of Phoenix, where she graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration. She is Vice President of the Democratic women of San Bernardino County she is also Secretary of the North American Pallet Association (which she helped create). She is member of Inland Hispanic chamber of commerce and past member of the Rialto Host Lions Club.

In 1984 her father started G.O.Pallets, Inc. in La Puente Ca and in 1990 he relocated his business to the city of Fontana. Lina, along with her sisters worked in the family business since a young age. Since 2011 Lina, her sister Grace Flores and Lina’s husband Edgar Montes have grown the business from 15 employees to 26 employees. In 2014 G.O.Pallets, Inc. received business of the year from the Inland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Their sales have gone from 1million a year to over 2.5 million a year.  G.O. Pallets, Inc. gives back to the community by donating to the FPOA Fontana Police Officer Association and various cheerleading squads, baseball teams and basketball teams throughout the community.
