UPDATED | LA Auto Show 2010 – Pictures and More

Hispanic Lifestyle attended Press Day at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show.  Video segments with representatives of Mercedes Benz, Cadillac and Jaguar. Each spoke about their “Concepts Cars” that were featured attractions at the Auto Show.

2010 Los Angeles Auto Show Facts

The Los Angeles Auto Show is one of the top automotive events worldwide and brings together the latest new vehicles from auto manufacturers around the world. The 2010 show will feature more than 50 world and North American debuts plus more than 900 of the latest vehicles ranging from sports cars and sedans to crossovers and minivans.

Friday, Nov. 19 – Sunday, Nov. 28

More than 20 world debuts and 30 North American debuts will showcase an auto industry that is rapidly changing to reflect new consumer demands. Vehicles range from electric and fuel-efficient vehicles like the electric Nissan LEAF and KIA Optima Hybrid, to crossovers from Saab and Range Rover and sports cars from Porsche and Lotus. Italian car maker Fiat is also returning to the U.S. after a 27 year hiatus.

More than 15 concepts will be unveiled, including Mazda’s dramatic Shinari concept, Jaguar’s C-X75 electric supercar and KIA’s POP electric concept with a spaceship- like cabin. Also, several yet-to-be-seen and highly anticipated concepts are planned from Cadillac, Honda, Nissan and Subaru.

More than 50 new electric, hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles will be on display. This year’s show also marks the arrival of the modern electric car era. Consumers can finally purchase mass-production electric vehicles and Los Angeles is expected to be one of the biggest EV markets. With more than a dozen electric vehicles ranging from production to concept, the show provides a picture of the present and future of electric transportation.

The show offers family fun and entertainment with the popular Nissan Quest Kids’ Fun Zone, open both weekends including the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The play area features video games, toy car rides and a variety of other games, crafts and activities free to show attendees.

The LA Auto Show has an entire hall dedicated to the automotive aftermarket and specialty vehicle industries. Kentia Hall features a jaw-dropping array of products ranging from limited production cars to customized exotics and the latest in mobile electronics and accessories.

The LA Auto Show is open to the public Nov. 19-28. Hours are:
