El Latino-San Diego creates an unforgettable event for Latinas, a day to be pampered, informed and empowered at Celebrando 2012, the largest Latina Conference in Spanish nationwide, held on Saturday, June 2nd at the Sheraton Hotel and Marina in San Diego, California.
Celebrando provides a unique educational experience with relevant topics for today’s Latina, through motivational keynotes speakers, workshops, an interactive expo hall containing resources from various organizations and over a dozen on-site health screenings, including everything from cholesterol testing to mammograms. Some of the topics presented will include: The value of a woman, ones relationship with money, steps within small business, new options in plastic surgery; amongst others.
From attendee requests in last year’s evaluations, two new areas have been added to Celebrando 2012: business and an exclusive youth track for Latinas teens 13-18 years old, offering seminars on higher education and self-worth. “The lack of, and severe need for our young girls to also receive the empowering and motivational message that was provided last year is undeniable”. Celebrando is a high quality all-day experience, rarely provided for Latinas, especially in Spanish, where every element is planned and executed with her in mind. Upon arrival, each Latina receives a tote bag of gifts and is given a personalized badge with the number of her assigned seat. During the elegant luncheon, attendees will enjoy a modern fashion show, displaying the latest trends for Latinas, presented by Macy’s and Westfield Plaza Bonita. Attendees will each be provided with a trend sheet listing the items worn by the models and invited to use their complementary Macy’s gift card the following day towards the purchase their new looks.
The mini-makeover area will include beauty experts from MAC Cosmetics, Bare Escentuals and Lancôme available on-site for one-on-one consultations and application of makeup for each attendee.
Celebrando is unique on every level, for the attendee, as well as the brands that support its efforts. The experience delivers an opportunity to build a strong brand bond with the ‘must have’ but ‘hard to reach’ Latina market, through a simple yet highly effective grass root approach. “We have worked closely with the brands involved to incorporate their objectives in an impressionable yet authentic way.
