With two offices in Los Angeles County, Long Beach and Downey, the legal team at Velasco Law Group, is dedicated to helping not only their respective communities but also the Greater Los Angeles area. We are able to provide legal services in English and Spanish. We take the time to understand individual family issues, customizing a legal plan as required. Our litigators will fight to get you results, what we need from you are the facts.

Velasco Law Group has helped many Latino families to overcome these obstacles by providing free education and consultations in Spanish. Paul and his associate, Rosa Fregoso, work together with financial advisors, insurance agents, real estate brokers and other professionals to put on educational seminars for members of the Hispanic community on the benefits of proper estate planning. The firm also offers initial estate planning consultations at no cost to the clients. These free services help to dispel much of the misinformation clients often receive about wills, trusts and estate planning from the internet, non-experts, or other unreliable sources. These services also help clients to overcome unfounded superstitions and fears that have previously prevented them from taking important steps to provide for the future financial security and well-being of their families and love ones.

timthumb.phpUnfortunately, there are relatively few Spanish speaking estate planning attorneys in the State of California and, for that reason, the Latino community continues to make up a very large segment of the market that is underserved. The attorneys of Velasco Law Group are doing their best to correct this long standing problem and make affordable estate planning available to all those who need this valuable service—especially to those of the Latino community who, until now, have had very few resources to turn to for help.

Paul D. Velasco is the founder and principal of VELASCO LAW GROUP, APC (“VLG”), a law firm whose practice focuses exclusively in the areas of tax and estate planning, probate and trust administration, as well as probate and trust litigation. VLG has offices in Long Beach, Downey and Irvine, California. Paul has been practicing for more than 18 years and is certified, by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, as a specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law, a distinction held by less than one percent of all attorneys in California.
Paul has formed a team of eight other experienced trust and estate lawyers (two of whom have also earned the Certified Specialist designation), as well as a support team of paralegals, law clerks and other administrative staff, with a combined professional experience of more than 180 years in the field of trust and estates.

Paul is also fluent in Spanish. He is one of only a few bilingual trust and estates specialists in the entire State of California and has a large Spanish speaking client base. He is a member of the Trusts and Estates Section of the State Bar of California and the Estate Planning and Trust Council of Long Beach. Paul lectures extensively on trust and estate planning matters for wealth management advisors, corporate trustees, real estate professionals and other professional groups. Paul and his firm have represented Farmers & Merchants Trust Company of Long Beach, Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Union Bank, and other professional trustees as legal counsel on various trust, probate and litigation matters. Paul is also very active in the community.
