Variety and Variety Latino celebrated their 2nd Annual Power of Latinos issue at the 10 Latinos to Watch event held at The London West Hollywood. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Variety Latino brought together this year’s up and coming “buzz worthy” Latino talent in film and television and also honored legendary actress, Rita Moreno with the Variety Latino Legacy Award.

Talent honored at the event included actress Melissa Fumero who currently stars on Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine and will next be starring in the drama film DriverX; actress Anabelle Acosta who currently stars on HBO’s Ballers and will next be seen in Lost and Found en Cuba and Fat Camp; YouTube sensation, Eric Ochoa; actor Allen Maldonado who currently stars on ABC’s Black-ish, TV One’s Ringside and Starz’s Survivor’s Remorse; CEO of Latin Everywhere and Executive Producer of CW’s Jane the VirginJorge Granier; actor Alfonso Herrera who is the lead on Fox’s The Exorcist; actor Richard Cabral who currently stars in ABC’s American Crime and will next be starring in Blood Father opposite Mel Gibson; actor/singer Carlos PenaVega who will be starring in Grease Live!; and actresses Eiza Gonzalez and Alicia Sanz who both star on From Dusk Till Dawn and will be next seen in Baby Driver and Shots Fired respectively.

“We are really excited to expand upon the list and event we created last year to honor some of the most promising young Latino talent in television, film and the different digital platforms. These are very exciting times for Latinos in Hollywood and we want to celebrate it.” said Yoselin Acevedo, Managing Editor of Variety Latino.
