Dorene C. Dominguez is the CEO and Chairman of Vanir. Ms. Dominguez succeeded her beloved late father, H. Frank Dominguez in 2004, and now oversees 24 offices throughout the United States, Dubai and Saudi Arabia. The Vanir companies employ a growing staff of more than 360 talented executives, architects, engineers, construction managers, developers, contractors and support staff.

Vanir, including Vanir Development Company, Inc., Vanir Construction Management, Inc. Vanir Energy, LLC, and Vanir Construction Company, Inc., have successfully completed over $10 billion in real estate developments, design-build lease, and construction services. An industry leader, Vanir is the leading provider of education facilities (K-12) in the State of California and is ranked number 29 in Engineering News Record for Program Management. In 2008, Ms. Dominguez launched Vanir Energy, LLC, a green initiative specializing in solar energy. In 2004, Ms. Dominguez founded The Vanir Foundation in Memory of H. Frank Dominguez, a public non-profit 501(c)3. The foundation partners with elementary schools in selected Vanir service areas to bring innovative programs to children in underserved communities.

She is currently an active member of various community improvement projects, boards and commissions. Ms. Dominguez currently serves as Member and former Chair of the Advisory Council of the Institute for Latino Studies at the University of Notre Dame, a member of the Advisory Council of the Lusk Center for Real Estate at the University of Southern California, and on the boards of CIT Bank and PRIDE Industries. Additionally, she is a member of the World Presidents Organization, and has previously served on the board of directors for, the National Council of La Raza, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Hispanas Organized for Political Equality, (“HOPE”), and over 10 years with New American Alliance. Ms. Dominguez has held public service appointments on the Los Angeles Planning Commission, the California State Board of Geology and Geophysics, and as the Governor’s Appointee to the California State Medical Board.

In 2013, Ms. Dominguez became the first Latina to hold an ownership interest in an NBA team, the Sacramento Kings. In 2015, she joined the ownership group for the Sacramento Republic, a minor league soccer team with aspirations of becoming an Major League Soccer (MLS) team in the near future.
Ms. Dominguez graduated from the University of Notre Dame and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance.
