2018 Latina of Influence | Liz Cahn-Castruita

Hispanic Lifestyle is pleased to recognize business owner and publisher Liz Cahn-Castruita as a 2018 Latina of Influence. Ms. Cahn-Castruita along with our entire list of 2018 Latinas of Influence are invited to participate in Hispanic Lifestyle’s 2018 Latina Conference taking place April 4 and 5, 2018 in Ontario, California.

Liz Cahn-Castruita is the visionary force behind WestCoast Magazine as its Publisher and Founding CEO. She is a driven businesswoman and has been a native to the Inland Empire since 1978. Liz moved to Chino Hills to be midpoint between San Diego and Santa Monica, when she was a shopping center marketing consultant to developers throughout Southern California. After a serious illness, she wanted to do something closer to home that would make a difference. Even today, she feels it is important to give back to the communities that provided her with the opportunity to raise her two children as a single mother. The best way she knows how to do that is through WestCoast Magazine.

As the owner of WestCoast Magazine, she makes it a priority above all else to give back to the communities she serves. To date, the magazine has featured over 2,500 businesses and more than 250 non-profits.

She has been named as a Woman to Watch, received numerous Small Business/Person of the Year Awards, and received recognition from various cities throughout the Inland Empire for her contribution in making a difference. As a business owner, she mentors young entrepreneurs on topics from business development to personal encouragement.

Liz also speaks of her experience of becoming empowered by taking a leap of faith and starting her own company with little more than an idea and a dream. She encourages both men and women, that they are capable of going from nothing to something at any stage of their lives.

Her business savvy has been instrumental in the success of several family businesses, in which she is a managing partner. For the last few years, she has been involved with the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association after losing her mother three years ago to the disease.

Liz is not afraid to push the envelope; she knows there will always be new opportunities as change is inevitable. She also knows that if her clients’ businesses do well, she will do well. It’s a philosophy she has held close to her heart since the inception of her company.
