Six months ago I started evaluating my environment work, health and family.  Vision boards were made and goals were set.  Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has impacted every facet of our lives in a short amount of time.  The perspective has been altered.

A Firm Grasp on Reality

Take a hard look at your assets and skill set. Everything is going to change. Our economy has hit the reset button. Business owners and professionals will have to address the fact that we will not be going back to conducting business as usual.

We are prepare for this new frontier.  Tech companies have been aggressively expanding their capabilities to link everyone.  Their moment has arrived.  A majority of us are connected at work and home.  Tools exist to conduct business remotely, which also means employers will exam their workforce needs and adjust accordingly. Entrepreneurs will do what they do best, adjust and hustle to explain their relevance in this business cycle.

There is a role for everyone in the new economy. Nothing will ever replace social interaction. We will always feel the need connect with people face to face. Each of us will evaluate if we are up for the changes that will take place in the next several months. New partnerships and industries will be created.

A jolt to the system inspires creativity.  Now is the time to show everyone how smart you really are.

footnote: The term New Frontier was used by Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kennedy in his acceptance speech in the 1960 United States presidential election to the Democratic National Convention at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as the Democratic slogan to inspire America to support him. The phrase developed into a label for his administration’s domestic and foreign programs.
