An Intimate Gathering with  Maria Teresa Kumar, Rosario Dawson, Wilmer Valderrama and More Commemorate President Obama’s Reelection and the Role of the Latino Vote
Non-partisan voter registration organization Voto Latino, their celebrity coalition, elected officials and media will come together for an intimate celebration to commemorate President Obama’s Inauguration on January 20th. Confirmed hosts include Voto Latino Chair Rosario Dawson, 2012 Co-Chair Wilmer Valderrama, President Maria Teresa Kumar, and Vice-Chair Brandon Hernandez.  Other guests include Russell Simmons, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Rep. Joaquin Castro, US Trade Rep. Ron Kirk, and more.

The event is both a celebration of the Inauguration and of the organization’s achievements over the past year. American Latinos played an integral part in the 2012 elections, representing a record setting 10% of voters. Through the help of Voto Latino’s efforts, over 100,000 new voters were registered in time for Election Day.  This event has been made possible by the generous support of HEINEKEN USA, proud importer of the refreshing Strongbow Cider, Intel, Johnson Control, Moët & Chandon, Pepsi, Pfizer, Time Warner, Viacom and Walmart.
