Amy Diaz of Providence, Rhode Island is the former Miss Earth United States 2009, Miss Rhode Island USA 2008 and Miss Rhode Island Teen USA 2001, is a proud 2001 graduate of Classical High School. At the age of 19, Amy graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communication with a Minor in Psychology from Barry University. In May of 2007 at 22 years old, Amy completed dual Master degrees in Business Administration and Sport Management. She is a nationally recognized President and Founding Sister of the Iota Theta Chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma Sorority and was the recipient of several leadership awards.

Amy was a co-host of “Social Women”, Rhode Island’s talk-show and entertainment program which featured three passionate women with diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and dynamic personalities who explored the essential issues of today’s woman.

Amy describes herself as a zealous young lady with a vivacious personality and versatile interests including digital photography, scrap booking, yoga, traveling, fishing, and cooking. Amy is bilingual, a trained dancer for over 12 years, and for the past 15 years has been a national commercial actress and model for English and Spanish markets. Amy has worked in media and production since 1999, and has been a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) member since 2000. Amy was also employed as the first personal assistant to renowned tennis champion, Venus Williams. She has a passion for health and fitness, and recently earned her WBFF Pro Card at the 2013 Fitness Atlantic competition.

Amy believes that “a woman who serves is also a woman who leads” which enables her to empower herself and others. She has traveled the world as a motivational speaker and spokeswoman, and has been actively involved with several charitable organizations/cause such as the American Heart Association, Save the Bay, A Wish Come True, Groundwork Providence, Breast Cancer Awareness, and AIDS Project RI as an HIV Prevention Educator. In 2013, Amy was nominated for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man & Woman of the Year Award, and she raised close to $10,000 in a 10-week period to help cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Amy embarked on a sprint around the world in the 23rd season of CBS’s reality program The Amazing Race. After having six second-place finishes, Amy, alongside boyfriend Jason Case, crossed the finish line in first place and won the one million dollar grand prize and the Amazing Race 23 title.
