Insight | Peter Villegas Head of Latin Affairs for Coca-Cola North America

Peter Villegas has been promoted to Head of Latin Affairs for Coca-Cola North America (CCNA) effective today.

In his new role, Peter will lead CCNA’s efforts to strengthen our relationships within the U.S. Hispanic community, which represents a critically important group of consumers and stakeholders in our increasingly multicultural nation. Peter will report to me as a member of the executive leadership team for CCNA, and he also will be a member of the senior leadership team

Peter joined CCNA’s Latin Affairs team in 2015, where he has worked to advance our company’s dialogue with Hispanic stakeholders and build collaborative partnerships with influential Hispanic organizations. In this role, he often served as a national spokesperson for our company with key political, community, business and civic leaders.

Throughout his 23-year career serving the Hispanic community, Peter has been honored with a number of accolades. In 2016, he received the Shimon Peres Visionary & Leadership Award, presented by the Israeli Consulate of Los Angeles. In 2015, he was recognized by Hispanic Executive Magazine as one of the top 10 Latino executives in the country. In 2012, Peter received the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Corporate Advocate of the Year Award.

In addition, Peter is on the board of many prominent organizations, including the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Latino Appointed & Elected Officials, Biennial of the Americas, and the U.S. Conference of Mayors Business Council.

Peter and his wife, Vickie, and his daughter, Alisandra, will continue to be based in California.

Our Latin Affairs organization does significant work to strengthen Coca-Cola’s presence and partnerships within the growing Hispanic community. Jim Dinkins and I look forward to working with Peter’s team as we continue to advocate for diversity and inclusion across America.
